Collaborative International Art Exchange
Twelve AGS members created a background that was sent to Japan and completed by Japanese artists. The finished paintings arrived from Japan and were returned on Saturday, July 18, to the artists who provided the background. This international art project, started by AGS member, Robert Wilson, is a huge success. There are 11 Japanese artists and 12 U.S. artists from AGS Shrewsbury. Participating artists from the guild are: Robert Wilson, Fay Morrisson, John Murphrey, Beverly Clark, Marg Needels, Aili Singer, Pat Erickson, Carolann Tebbetts, Roya Blodgett, Kathy Grimley, Pam Haynes, and Henry & Pauline Bergassi. A book of the artists and their art may be in the works! More on that topic at our first meeting in September.
